Story Maps for Visualizing - "The Knights of the Kitchen Table"

This resource can be used along with a read aloud of "The Knights of the Kitchen Table" or can be modified for use with any read aloud. It also serves as a way to summarize what has already been read. Once students feel comfortable with the format, they can write in their own story events, in sequence, as well as draw an illustration to go along with the event (the illustrations should demonstrate what the student visualized during the read aloud). This thinking map could also be modified into a center where students use summarizing, sequence, and visualizing strategies.
