Title: Budgeting for a Summer Trip to Grandma’s HouseGoals: Utilizing the grouping method of, “Think, Pair, Share”, students will add, subtraction and multiply decimals while planning purchases for a real-life scenario on a limited budget. Students select items for purchase from a given list. Items will be identified as either a want or a need. Objectives: Students will distinguish between wants and needs. Students will work collaboratively with a partner to plan purchases on a limited budget of $250. Students will share and discuss their budgets with another group.
