Making Ice Cream - Day 1 Lesson Plan

The target student population for this activity is Special Education students with Intellectual Disabilities. This is the first of five lessons that will focus on reading a recipe, identifying ingredients, supplies, and amounts needed to make ice cream. The following lessons will focus on creating a shopping list, shopping for the ingredients, price comparisons, measuring and dividing the ingredients, and finally, taste testing to compare and contrast three different flavors of ice cream. Students will then use a bar graph and Venn diagram to document their results. Students will have opportunities to share their knowledge and ask questions about the process. #VegasPBS-MATH181
