Sight Word Zoo

Here is the 300 word Dolch sight word list broken up into thirty lists of ten. Each list has an animal name. The lists are in order from easiest to hardest. When a student is able to read a list without any mistakes, that student earns the animal at the top of the list. The student then gets to color the animal, and it is placed in the class zoo. If a student cannot read all the words on the list, the student must take the list home to practice before trying again. Attached are the animal lists as well as pages with animals to print out for students to put in the zoo. I have used this in my first grade classroom with great success. The students get really excited about earning the animals for the zoo.
