Cost of Teen Pregnancy

Teaching teens how to manage money can be one of the greatest benefits parents/guardians and teachers can provide before teens leave home. Help your teen to realize how expensive it really is to have a child and live on their own. Fill in the following chart and examine the financial responsibilities a “true adult” has. The Excel spreadsheet is designed to calculate the expenses for the teacher. I use Excel spreadsheet for a whole group discussion, but I also have the students do the assignment at home with a significant adult for homework. Interactive Notebook (IAN) version is attached.
