Greatest Area Activity with Graphing Calculators

Students explore quadratics by entering lists of possible lengths and widths of rectangles with a fixed perimeter. They will find the area and then create a scatterplot with the length and area. Using a quadratic regression they will find the equation of the parabola and search the table of values to find the maximum area.
